Primary fermentation vessels are special containers designed to primary fermentation of alcoholic beverages. The first phase of the alcoholic beverage fermentation process takes place usualy without pressure or under low pressure (max. 0.5 bar).
For example in the beer production process the task of yeast in the primary fermentation stage is to convert part of the sugars in the wort into alcohol. At the set degree of fermentation the fermentation process is interrupted (not to be the full conversion of 100 % sugar).
This section includes all types of fermenters designed to the first fermentation phase of beer, wine or alcoholic cider – the primary fermentation.
