Universal beer keg intended to be filled with your beer. Usable also as simple beer pressure fermentors for a secondary beer fermentation – carbonization. With special re-usable rubber plug.

This set includes 960 pcs of the party mini kegs with useful capacity 5 liters (four full wooden palettes).

Secondary beer fermentation in mini kegs

Many home brewers use the mini kegs to do a secondary beer fermentation under pressure to obtain good beer saturaded by carbon dioxide – this is a natural beer carbonation process just like in bottled beer.
The method is the same as for bottles: dissolve cca 3g the sugar in a small quantity of beer, pour it into sterilized mini keg and pump 5 liters the primary fermented beer into the keg in such a way that everything is mixed well. Close the keg with the sterile rubber plug.
Place the keg upright for several days at ambient temperature so that the 2nd fermentation can take place. Then put the mini keg in a cool place and the clearing and maturing process starts here. A discarded but still working refrigerator is ideal to placing of the kegs with maturing beer, this allows you to keep your maturing beer in the correct temperature approximaly 1 °C.
When the beer has completely cleared and carbonated, usualy two up to eight weeks later, a beer tasting can start.

This method is the same for a secondary fermentation of other similar alcoholic beverages – for example cider.
