Double tank brewhouses for both the infusion and the decoction brewing or for wort production from malt extract
Double tank brewhouses are wort brewing machines which consist of two vessels. The first vessel is heated (electrically or with hot steam) and it serves as a mash tank and a wort boiling tank. The second vessel serves as a wort filtering tank or as a whirl tank. The second tank may be divided to two separated tanks placed one above second. In this case the higher tank serves as a wort filtration tank (for separation of malt solid particles from wort) and the lower tank as a whirl tank (for separation of hop particles from wort).
The main advantage of the double tank brewhouse is saving of space in your brewery (in comparation with brewhouses which consist of more tanks). The double tank brewhouses with three integrated tanks (two different vessels in one tank) allows you to use both the infusion and the decoction brewing method.
