Secondary fermentation vessels

Secondary fermentation vessels are special containers designed to secondary fermentation of alcoholic beverages. The second phase of the alcoholic beverage fermentation process takes place usualy under pressure (1-6 bar) and at very low temperature (usualy 1-3°C) while the beverage is naturally saturated with carbon dioxide.
For example in the beer production process the task of yeast in the secondary fermentation stage is the slow carbonation of beer in lagering tanks.

This section includes all types of fermenters designed to the second fermentation phase of beer, wine or alcoholic cider – the secondary fermentation – maturation – carbonation.
