How to use the aluminim plate wort/beer cooler ?
Place the aluminum cooling plate in a plastic or steel tub and cover it with pieces of ice (minimum layer of ice cubes is 20 cm).
We recommend screwing the cooling plate to the bottom of the tub (the plate is equipped with mounting holes for screws).
Then let the wort/beer flow through the cooling plate at a maximum temperature of 20°C at a rate of about 1-2 liters per minute. The cold stored in the ice cubes will be enough to cool the wort below 4°C in a single pass through the cooling plate. We recommend gradually adding more ice cubes to the vat during cooling of the wort/beer as the ice melts.
If your wort/beer is warmer than 20°C we would recommend either slowing your flow rate through the aluminium coling plate or alternatively having the beverage pass through the cold plate twice.
