WBFK3-95H : Simple Water-Beer Filtering Kit with 3-stage filtration – for 9.5mm(3/8″) hoses

A simple filter system for three-stage filtering water, beer or other drinks (the price does not include the filtration elements). Suitable for filtering out solid particles from not yet saturated beer, cider, etc.

Specifications:

• 3 pcs of the High-pressure plastic housing for a 10″ mechanical filtration cartridge
• Includes DuoTight (or John Guest) quick couplers – M1/2″x9.5mm cock, M1/2″x9.5mm quick coupler
• Teflon tape for sealing joints
• Practical holder for fixing the case on the wall including mounting screws
• Inlet and outlet 1/2” BSP with brass threads for long life, suitable for temperature max 50°C, pressure max 4.8 Bar.
• 2 meters of the 9.5 mm (3/8″) food hose for the connection between two filters
• The filter inserts are not included, it must be purchased separately – the types depend on the required fineness of filtration

Filtering of beer isn’t just for commercial breweries anymore! Now you can benefit from this time saving process at home. Filtering your beer does much more than just give you a clearer, brighter beer. The filtering process can eliminate weeks of secondary aging, giving you better tasting beer much quicker than before. During secondary aging the primary effect is that more yeast settles out of suspension, carrying with it, proteins, polyphenols, and other flavour compounds that contribute to the “green” flavour of un-aged beers. Filtering will eliminate most of this yeast and those flavour compounds in a matter of minutes instead of weeks. Connect inline between the outlets of two kegs and use carbon dioxide to push beer through the filter before carbonation, and enjoy crystal clear, cleaner tasting beer.

The filtering kit comes with a Duotight Shut Off Valve and Fitting, they are intended to be used with 3/8″ OD (9.5mm) Polyethylene Tubing.

Inside each fitting are dual EPDM o-rings that provide superior sealing capacity due to having twice the sealing surface area when compared to other push in fittings. This makes Duotight fittings even more reliable and significantly reduces the chance of a leak. For optimal performance it is recommended that when cutting your tubing it is cut straight, not on an angle, this helps to ensure a complete seal.

In addition to the Duotight couplers this kit comes with mounting hardware, a mounting bracket, and a beer filter housing.
