Description
This new compact modular cooling unit, made of stainless steel, is an ideal and flexible solution for small and medium-size breweries, cider makers and wineries, that only need cooling for their applications.
The modular cooling unit is also ideal solution for producers who are just starting up and who are planning to grow and expand their production capacity in the future. Particularly if they start operations in a small facility with available only 1-phase or limited 3-phase electric power network.
The unique feature of the modular cooling unit is its modular concept: The modular cooling unit can be optionally equipped with one, two or three cooling modules. Each module has a cooling capacity of 3 kW, so that the cooling machine can cover a performance range from 3 kW to 9 kW cooling capacity. The additional cooling modules up to full cooling capacity 9 kW can be ordered and added into the ready slot in the base unit at any time and very easily.
At 0°C water temperature an ice-bank will be built around the tubes which provides an additional, stored cooling capacity and enables a constant cooling temperature over a longer time. The modular cooling unit with one, two or three modules is able to cool water down to -6 °C using propylen glycol.

- It is required to add monopropylen glycol (30 – 35%) to the cooling water by outlet temperatures below 0°C. In this case the building of an ice-bank not possible.

I. CMCH-CM30 : Cooling module 3 kW for the CMCH modular water chiller
Cooling module with cooling capacity of 3 kW for the compact modular water chiller 3-9 kW. The cooling module includes the R290 ecological refrigerant gas 150g.
The cooling module consists of a stainless steel evaporator, a compressor and a condenser.
II. CMCH-OFP : Overflow protection kit for the CMCH modular water chiller
The ‘Overflow protection kit’ prevents residual water from the pipes of open water-systems to over-flood the cooling unit’s integrated water-tank when the pumps are switched off.
Overflow prevention-kit comprised of a solenoid valve with connection and a non-return valve, recommended for installations where water pipes or tanks stand higher than the unit.
III. CWC-CMC Compact manifolds
The hose-hub to connect more cooling zones on cooled tanks to this cooling unit using flexible plastic pipes or hoses.
