Open-top fermentation tanks

Open-top fermentation tanks are simple pressureless fermenters without an upper cover, with removable lid, with a floating upper lid or with a non-pressure upper manhole welded on the upper lid.
They serve for non-pressure fermentation of alcoholic beverages like beer, wine, kombucha, cider etc.
The cheapest open-top fermentation tanks are not equipped with a cooling jacket and they are non-insulated.
More expensive open-top fermenters are equipped with a cooling jacket. Professional open fermentation tanks have also insulation and a temperature measuring and control system.
