Candle mechanical filters are designed for batch filtration of water or beverages through one or more narrow cylindrical mechanical filter elements (filter candles). A cascade of candle filters is usually used, where the liquid is filtered from a coarse-pore filter to a fine-pore filter. The filtration candles may be connected each other in the serial, paralel or combinated set.
