The machine is suitable for use with all alcoholic beverages. It is possible to use the carbonator also for all non-alcoholic beverages but only after their deaeration. For this purpose we recommend to use a special version – the compact machine which consists of a deaerator and a carbonator.

 

How the ILC-8000 carbonator works :

A beverage product incomming from an external pressure beverage tank first is cooled by an heat exchanger. A special dosing system composed from a flow meter, modulating valve and ejector guarantee the correct amount of CO2 dosing.
The system is controlled by special instruments, automatic valves and controls with electronic regulator, which adapt the carbonation based on the selected parameters by the operator through the electrical cabinet and in the limits of the plant operability.
The carbonated beverage is stored in a built-in pressure buffer tank and feeding to the filler is assured by a pump, which functions following the filler request. A filling machine can be positioned immediatelly after the carbonator, without other buffer tank.

The compact automatic in-line carbonator is equipped with a very quality carbon dioxide flow-through analyzer.

MT InPro 5500 carbon dioxide flow-through meter has been developed for in-line CO2 measurements in brewery and carbonated soft drink and water processes. The sensor utilizes the well-proven thermal conductivity method to determine CO2 in liquids. The METTLER TOLEDO has combined this technology with the simplified handling and predictive diagnostics features of the unique Intelligent Sensor Management (ISM) concept.ISM‘s pre-calibration and Plug and Measure functions ensure fast, error-free measurement point start up.The Dynamic Lifetime Indicator and the Adaptive Calibration Timer enable predictive maintenance planning to keep the sensor at peak performance at all times.
The InPro 5500 i will help breweries and carbonated soft drink producers maintain product quality and control CO2 costs by providing accurate in-line measurements in carbon dioxide critical processes.

Product pre-cooling system

(Optional equipment : ILC-8000-PPCS)

Heat exchanger for cooling the product from 20°C to 2°C with ice water cooled at -3°C and pneumatic recirculation valve activated in case of incorrect temperature. An external glycol tank for ice water with a cooler is not included.

Technical parameters :

The plates special design assures a high thermal exchange, and good stability.
Gaskets are clip-on type, in EPDM.
Heat exchanger plates are corrugate, shaped as herringbone type.
Two plates herringboned overlap generates a helical flow at high turbulence, that permits to have the essential condition for high thermal exchange coefficients, together with high self-cleaning effect.
