CUPET-500 : Bottle capping unit for applying screwed caps on the PET bottles (up to 500-600 caps per hour)

Air operated bottle capping unit suitable for closing twist caps, snap on or plastic screw caps (compatible with the PET bottles), with capacity up to 500-600 bottes per hour. The operator put the cap in the cap pusher (for twist off or plastic screw caps) and pushes the buttons placed at both sides of the machine base. The closing head descends toward the cap, closing it while a pneumatic system blocks the container preventing it from spinning. The pneumatic motor can be manually adjusted up to 11 Nm according to the torque required to close the cap properly. A hand wheel with a counter provides a reference for the capping head height. Another height regulation can be made on the system that holds the pneumatic piston.

The CUPET-500 is a fully pneumatic benchtop capping machine suitable for closing all formats of glass or plastic bottles or containers with plastic screw caps.
Fully pneumatic operation: by pressing the two side buttons, the screwing head descends and seals the capsules on the neck of the container in a few seconds. The capper is suitable for closing all formats of plastic screw caps (for example, DIN61 caps with vent, screw caps with HDPE gasket, seal caps, etc.).
The price includes a ribbed mandrel for use a single format of plastic screw cap. For each additional cap size, an additional locking mandrel must be purchased.
Maximum height of the bottle or container is 330 mm (on request it is possible to create capping columns for closing bottles and containers with a height greater than 330 mm). The capping machine can be supplied with or without the sliding pneumatic jar lock, an accessory necessary to prevent the bottle from rotating and falling during the capping operation.
The CUPET-500 capper is also available in the version with neck grip for PET and/or light plastic bottles which must be supported by the support collar during the cap screwing operation.

The unit is powered by pressurized air – an air compressor is not included.

• The capping unit is equipped with a custom made neck holder for PET bottle. The pneumatic clutch can be manually adjusted between 1.5 and 9 Nm, according to the torque required to close the cap properly.
• A hand wheel with a counter is used for making a fine adjustment of the height of the capping unit. A counter provides a reference for height of the capping head. Another height regulation can be made on the system that holds the whole capping unit.
• In this way the machine is very versatile and can close PET bottles up to 400 mm of height and 160 mm of diameter.

How the CUPET-500 machine works :

The CUPET-500 machine have been designed and manufactured to capping jars or bottles of any material for the food, chemical, cosmetic, and pharmaceutical industries.

1. Place a bottle on the capping machine in the dedicated position (A).
2. Then, place a bottle cap under the screwing head (B).
3. By pressing two activation buttons (C) simultaneously, the screwing motor starts screwing the cap on the jar.
4. Once the cap has been screwed on the bottle, remove the bottle and start the procedure again with a new bottle and a cap.

Note *** : Recommended equipment to use the capping unit with standard beverage PET bottles.

NOTE: When the purchase order is placed, it’s necessary to send the samples of containers and caps (3 pcs of the PET bottles and 30 pcs of the screwed caps for each size). The samples are needed for the confirmation of the present offer and for regulation of the closing head.
