The BT-HKW Ss Brewtech home Keg Washer offers the homebrewer a convenient way to clean any classic small stainless steel kegs which are equipped with the Ball Lock couplers (Cuvette, Corny keg, Cornelius keg, Soda keg, Mini Beer-keg or other similar variants).
We recommend to use the machine with only common kitchen washing detergents or with very little concentrated acidic and alkalic solutions (maximally 2%).
Attention :
When working with chemical solutions, it is absolutely necessary to use protective work equipment – a well-fitting head mask, rubber gloves, protective clothing. We also recommend working in pair to ensure that if one person is splashed with chemicals, first aid is immediately nearby.
Never start up the pump when the nozzle is not covered with a vessel !!
How to use the Brewtech™ home Keg Washer
To operate with the home Keg Washer, simply remove the keg’s lid, tilt it and insert the spray ball attachment into the keg’s lid opening, and then rotate the keg to secure the lip against the WaSsher’s silicone baseplate seal. Secure the locknut and snug the entire assembly down. Attach the two Ball Lock quick disconnect fittings to the gas-in and liquid-out posts, ensuring there are no kinks in the silicone tube. Lastly, turn your keg upside down and put the entire assembly into a standard 20L bucket that contains 8 liters of your preferred cleaning solution, then activate the pump. Now you can go grab a beer and relax while the Keg Washer does the all work instead you.
No need to disassemble or remove QD posts, dip tubes, or other fittings, all parts are cleaned in place.
Since this keg washer is designed to fit inside a 20L bucket, you can easily clean kegs in batches by setting up a keg wash station with 3 discrete buckets to perform cleaning, drinking water rinse, and acid sanitizer cycles.
Since the Keg WaSsher only requires 8 liters of cleaning solution, the result is less chemical waste and less environmental impact than with traditional manual cleaning methods.
