The CARBO CMX-40 is an equipment for the simple inline carbonization of sparkling water / wine / beer / cider, etc. Designed for the flow rate from 300 up to 8000 liters per hour.

The affordable and easy-to-use CMX-40 carbonator is designed for the beverage carbonation directly during the filling process.
To add an exactly predefined amount of CO2 in your beverage, you enter the desired value of the saturation level via the touch panel. As soon as the product starts to flow, this amount of carbon dioxide will be automatically added proportionally to the current flow rate. This ensures a reliable CO2 dosing even with highly fluctuating flow rates.

This carbonator is able to sature beverages with carbon dioxide up to value max. 10 g/l (depending on pressure, temperature, flow rate, disolved oxygene content)

Notes :

* The small CARBO CMX-20 system is designed for a max. CO2 dosing of 12 kg/h. This corresponds, for example, to 6 g/l at 2,000l/h or 3 g/l at 4,000 l/h, etc. With the large CARBO CMX-20 40 system, double the flow rate is possible.

** For carbonation of water and soft drinks, we highly recommend removing dissolved oxygen from the beverage before carbonation – for example, by bubbling the beverage with carbon dioxide for several hours at a temperature of 25-30°C. Dissolved oxygen prevents the formation of molecular bonds between the beverage and carbon dioxide.

*** Before carbonation, we recommend cooling the beverage to a temperature of 2-4°C. A low beverage temperature is a necessary condition, especially when high carbon dioxide saturation of the beverage is required (more than 4 mg CO2 per liter).


Cleaning restrictions :

  • No restrictions – can be cleaned with hot water and chemically, can be sterilized with hot steam.
  • The equipment is CIP/SIP-ready and designed to be chemically cleaned with caustic soda 2% at 80 °C and PAA 1–2% at 30 °C .
