MDW-100 : Malt dispenser 0.10-100kg with weighing hopper 70L

Industrial batcher for bulk materials and mixtures with weighing of precisely specified weight in any range from 100g – 10000g. The weighed dose can be set with a resolution of up to 1g.

The very robust all-metal batcher works on the principle of vibrating weighing of the precisely selected dose and its subsequent discharge into a pre-prepared package or container at the operator’s command using a foot pedal.

The batcher consists of two main elements – a vibrating surface and a scale. When weighing is started, the contents of the vibrating surface slowly move into the weighing hopper. After the set amount is filled, the vibration stops and the dose is ready to be poured into a suitable package or container at the operator’s command.

The dispenser is suitable for dosing almost any loose mixtures – chemicals, powders, plastic pellets, metal parts, seeds and other dry loose mixtures and is also suitable for food, however, it does not have a food certificate. It can be used to dose, for example, tea, coffee, rice, beans, lentils, oatmeal, malt, muesli and other dry foods.

The weight maximum of 10,000g applies to loose powder mixtures.

The machine is suitable for accuracy dosing of raw malt into malt crusher before its crushing. It is possible to use it also for accuracy weighing and dosing of crushed malt grist into a brewhouse.

How the malt dispenser works :

The dosing device is controlled using a foot pedal, which the operator uses to give the impulse to weigh and with a second press opens the granary flap and dumps the contents of the scale into the prepared collection bag or hopper. An adapter for smaller collection bags is available, which can be used if necessary.

Bulk mixtures are poured into the hopper through the upper funnel, which, thanks to its shape, prevents the mixtures from spilling onto the ground and also serves as a reservoir. For dosing finer mixtures, the funnel is equipped with a flap that can be used to control the amount or height of the mixture traveling along the vibrating platform.

The dispenser has a counter of poured doses, and there is also the option of dumping the complete contents of the dispenser – suitable for example when dosing is finished. The dispenser is all-metal, the outer part is made of stainless steel, the 725mm high base has brakeable wheels for easy transport.

Warnings :

If the mixture you want to dose has an increased moisture or fat content and forms lumps, the dosing accuracy is significantly reduced. The scale works on the principle of vibrations and if a lump falls into the weighed part, which weighs significantly more than the other particles of the mixture, it may be overloaded and thus the accuracy will deteriorate.

All parts of the machine that come into contact with the dosed food during operation are made of “food” stainless steel: STAINLESS STEEL 1.4301, ČSN 17 240, AISI 304, whose chemical composition complies with the standard for the use of products for food.
But it is not possible to supply a food certificate to the machine.
