FM-VMS08 : Digital flow meter for 1-8 fluid/beverage lines

The FM-VMS08 flow meter is a microprocessor-controlled unit designed for precise measurement of liquid flow and for recording the amount of drinks dispensed. The FM-MV02 measuring turbine is used as a flow sensor, and it is possible to use a flow meter with up to eight FM-MV02 measuring turbines.

Control panel

1. One-digit display – shows the number of the selected channel
2. Four-digit display – shows the state of the counters
3. Blue LED – indicates the selection of daily counters
4. Green LED – indicates the selection of main counters
5. Red LED – indicates the selection of sanitation meters
6. Encoder – control element with addition, subtraction and confirmation functions (increment, decrement and enter)
7. KEY – key for switching between the main and secondary counters

What is new :

• The FM-VMS08 unit is equipped with a new type of microcontroller with the possibility of upgrading the program (firmware upgrade) and other functions that facilitate the operation and use of the device.
• The FM-VMS08 device allows you to measure consumption or flow of up to eight channels simultaneously.
• The control keyboard was replaced by a modern encoder control. Thanks to this, the device is very easy to operate.
• Another significant improvement is the possibility of automatically switching the counters to sanitation mode by a signal from an external device.
• Switching to the service menus is done only after entering the appropriate code, which eliminates the need to switch with a mechanical key.
• The entire unit is able to communicate with a computer via a serial bus, which leads to easy data storage in the connected PC. The record of the dialed quantity will become very efficient and the obtained data can be processed directly using suitable software. Serial communication also makes it possible to integrate the unit into a superior system (hotel, bar and other system).
• The operator thus has a complete overview of the amount of drinks dispensed. The daily counters can be easily reset (similar to the daily odometer of a car).
• With FM-MV02 measuring turbines, the device can be used in the food industry. The device is suitable for PreMix drinks, including measuring beer consumption.

Four counters are assigned to each flow sensor:

– basic total
– basic daily
– sanitation (secondary) overall
– sanitation daily

• possibility to configure the device for 1 to 8 channels
• the possibility of operating the device even during a power outage for at least 24 hours
• accurate calibration of individual channels (with FM-MV02 resolution less than 0.5 ml)
